I’m not going to waste any of your time here.
Morning routines are pointless.
What?!?
That’s right, they’re pointless.
Now, does starting your day off well have an impact on the rest of your day?
Probably.
But the way many people treat morning routines is frankly ridiculous.
Just because you copy all of Warren Buffets morning habits, doesn’t mean you’re going to become as wealthy as Warren Buffet.
And truthfully, this is my biggest gripe with the popularity of “morning routine” content.
They sell this idea that the perfect morning routine is all you need to be successful.
As long as you:
Wake up at 5AM
Drink black coffee
Meditate
Journal
Get some sunlight
Go for a walk
Eat a big, healthy breakfast
Drink water
Set goals
Stay away from your phone
Practice mindfulness etc.
Do you notice the problem here?
I’ve listed over 10 habits and not a single one of them involves you sitting down and working.
You want the perfect morning routine?
Here it is:
Wake up (doesn’t matter what time)
Have a shower and brush your teeth
Drink water
Get to work
There you go.
This is my current “routine” and I’m getting a lot done.
