🌅 India Rising
Interdependency is a skill only independent people have.
I used to believe that being independent was the peak of success. Like, that’s all you need. But boy, oh boy, wasn’t I wrong?
With time, I realized that survival in this big wide world requires more than just independence. You need to be interdependent and create meaningful relationships. And to be honest, I kinda suck at it.
This is some kind of growth spurt, I guess.
I am the type of person who has always strived for freedom. From 6th standard to 12th standard, having lots of money was my idea of freedom. But in college, it kinda expanded. Now I needed flexibility. Loads of free time to manage both my work and my life in general. Without sacrificing either of the things. You get the point, right?
But now, there is this third factor I have been thinking about.
It’s Interdependence.
Meaning full relationships are indeed very important.
How sad it is that I haven’t had any. Maybe because I never thought about it. I want freedom, that’s something I deeply care about. And until now, I used to think money and free time would give me that.
But you know what? Interdependence is the key to personal and professional effectiveness.
Great relationships just enhance your life in general.
You need to invest in people. Be there for the ones you care about. Treat them with kindness, love, and respect. This goes both for your personal and professional life.
When you have people by your side (people with good intentions, of course), they will uplift you. Actually, you will uplift one another.
I don’t know, man. I think having good people by your side is the greatest asset of all time.
